Antique Large Ornately Carved Serving Tray with Brass Handles - Tray - Wood

A distinctive antique wooden tray featuring an exceptionally elaborate arrangement of hand-carved geometric ornamentation. The richly decorated surface is composed of intricate starbursts, circular rosettes, interlocking geometric forms and finely patterned borders, creating a remarkable, almost architectural composition. The deep, contrasting recesses accentuate the precision and depth of the carving, while the warm patina of the wood lends the piece an appealing sense of age. Two brass handles complete the design, adding a refined contrast to the intricately worked wooden surface. An unusual decorative object with a strong visual presence, combining traditional craftsmanship, mathematical symmetry and richly detailed ornamentation. Equally suited to an elegant interior, a curated collection of antique woodwork or display as a sculptural piece in its own right. The tray shows signs of age and use, including visible wear to the underside. Please refer to the photographs for a detailed impression of its condition. Carefully packed and shipped securely.
