This gold pendant, set with pearls and almandine garnets, was created in England during the Edwardian Era (1901-10). Typical of the jewellery of the time, it is light and open-worked and uses only small colored stones so that the elegant lady could wear it during the day without appearing overdressed: the famous understatement. The design develops from three openwork curves, under which a pendulum swings. Small natural pearls enliven the piece with their shimmering texture. Three faceted almandine garnets add small splashes of color to the composition. We discovered this beautiful pendant in London and added a matching gold chain.
