Chinese propaganda poster – Mao – 1968 Original Chinese propaganda poster dated 1968, in the midst of the Cultural Revolution. The composition features several figures of the Chinese people — worker, peasant, soldier and the Red Guard — gathered in front of a towering red flag. At the center, Mao's Little Red Book is held up as a symbol of Maoist ideology. The inscription printed in the lower margin mentions 人民美术出版社 (People’s Fine Arts Publishing House / Éditions des Beaux-Arts du Peuple), 1968, as well as the original price of 0.16 yuan. A particularly decorative piece, representative of the Chinese political iconography of the late 1960s, preserving its patina and the natural signs of age. Dimensions: 76 × 51.4 cm.
