2014, patinated/painted copper sheet and painted ceramic tiles, ink signed to the lower right, mounted to a cradled wooden board, ink signed, titled, and dated to the reverse, mounted hanging display. 48 1/4 x 24 1/4 x 1 1/2 in. "I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Ohio State University and for nearly 15 years worked as an interior designer, often personalizing spaces by adding some of my own artwork. In the early 90s, I began to explore the use of metals, adding small scraps of copper, brass, and aluminum to my paintings. I quickly became fascinated with the reflective and textural qualities and soon my work became all metal. 'Every day is an experiment,' discovering new ways to form, texturize, and color the metals. Many have described my work as alive, changing with the light of day. My work is represented in galleries across the Southeast and included in private and corporate collections across the country, including: Duke Medical Center, United Health Care, SAS Institute, PPD, Marriott International, Hilton Hotels, Aetna Insurance in Boston, and the new RBC Center in Raleigh, NC." Good estate condition; natural waviness to the copper sheeting as made.
