Congolese Currency Bracelet (Mbole/Mongo) - Solid Bronze/Copper - This type of C-shaped copper cuff bracelet is known by the names Mombongo or Konga. It was used by several ethnic groups in the Congo Basin, including the Mongo, Ekonda, and Ngombe. In the local languages, the word Mombongo means "money". 9 cm wide, 5 cm high, 606 grams. Condition: Authentic condition with signs of aging. The visible crack is stable/solid and does not affect the structural integrity of the object (see photos for details).
