Beautifully large color offset print by Andy Warhol after the original from 1967. Dimensions of the work: 97 x 97 cm, in mint condition. The work was issued with the permission of the Andy Warhol Foundation. Released in 1993 by Achenbach Art in Düsseldorf. #marilyn100 Andy Warhol (1928-1987) was an American artist, film director and author. He also worked as a music producer and actor. Drawing on his background and experience in the applied arts, Warhol was one of the leading figures of pop art in the United States in the 1950s and 1960s. Warhol is especially famous for his flat, high-contrast paintings and silkscreens of packaged products and everyday objects, as well as for his stylized portraits of 20th-century celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Mick Jagger, Grace Jones, and others.
