Original painting on canvas – acrylic & oil pastel – 90 × 60 cm Shipping rolled without frame With “Boloria Pales Abstract” an expressive, large-format original painting presents itself, translating the form of a butterfly into a free, abstracted visual language. The work combines acrylic painting with drawn passages in oil pastel. Luminous orange, red and gold tones shape the depiction, while dark, spontaneously laid lines and areas create a tense contrast to the color-rich image surface. The visible brushstrokes, overlays and drawing interventions give the painting a deliberately immediate, lively effect. The title “Boloria Pales” refers to the high-alpine or Pales fritillary (Boloria pales). It is less about a precise scientific depiction and more about an artistic interpretation of its characteristic form. The butterfly becomes the starting point for an autonomous composition between concreteness and abstraction. Art-historical classification places the work in the tradition of Expressionism and informal or gestural abstraction. As in these movements, the emphasis is not on an exact reproduction of the visible world, but on the emotional impact of color, line, movement and materiality. Her works are today part of numerous private collections and are shown in galleries, museums and prominent art exhibitions.
