A particularly appealing set due to its excellent state of preservation, with full-leather bindings, spines adorned with gilt lines, and illustrated dust jackets retained. Volume No. 135 of the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade. Finished printing on June 30, 1966, Mame printing works in Tours, on Bolloré Bible paper. André Gide – Journal 1889-1939 With index of names and cited works. Volume No. 54 of the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade. Finished printing on November 4, 1965, Mame printing works in Tours, on Bolloré Bible paper. André Gide – Journal 1939-1949 – Souvenirs With index of names and cited works. Volume No. 104 of the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade. Finished printing on February 15, 1966, Mame printing works in Tours, on Bolloré Bible paper. Jules Renard – Journal 1887-1910 Text compiled by Léon Guichard and Gilbert Sigaux; preface, chronology, notes and index by Gilbert Sigaux. Volume No. 145 of the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade. Finished printing on February 25, 1965 by Darantière printing house in Dijon, on Bolloré Bible paper. This last volume is particularly interesting: it corresponds to the first print run of the 1965 reissue with new pagination, a version featuring bibliographic particulars different from earlier printings. Condition: excellent. Very fresh bindings, gilding well preserved, interiors clean and fresh. The dust jackets are present and in a very good overall condition. A homogeneous and particularly decorative set of four ancient Pléiades, interesting both for a collector and for building a French literature library.
