Ancient Roman mosaic glass bead with multiple eye motifs. A distinctive glass bead of rounded cuboid form, made from translucent dark olive-green glass and decorated with multiple applied circular eye motifs. The decorative elements consist predominantly of cream/white circular patterns with red centres. The bead has a central perforation for suspension. The glass becomes noticeably translucent green when illuminated. The surface shows age-related wear, deposits and weathering, while the decorative motifs remain clearly visible.
