The bezel is undecorated and appears intentionally plain rather than engraved for sealing, while the robust and restrained construction is characteristic of personal rings worn throughout the Roman Imperial period. The surface preserves an aged dark patina with areas of lighter mineral deposition and wear, consistent with prolonged burial and use over time.
