Terracotta bead collar re-strung – Ancient Egypt Elegant necklace composed of numerous terracotta beads, from ancient Egyptian tradition, currently strung, forming a long strand of approximately 40 cm in length. The beads, small in size—approximately 4 to 10 mm—feature a characteristic discoidal and cylindrical shape, with slight irregularities inherent to their manual manufacture. They retain an attractive range of natural hues, from ochres and sands to browns and darker earthy tones, creating a particularly harmonious set. The matte surface, color variations, and small signs of wear give the piece a pronounced archaeological presence. The considerable length of the necklace allows the rhythmic sequence of the beads to be appreciated and confers a striking decorative effect, both when displayed in a vitrine and when presented on a support. Cultural origin: Ancient Egypt Material: Terracotta Total length: approx. 100 cm Bead diameter: approx. 4 mm Condition: consistent with its age, showing wear, deposits, and tonal variations typical of the material. An intimate and evocative piece, representative of the tradition of personal ornamentation in ancient Egypt, especially attractive for a collection of Mediterranean and Oriental archaeology.
