Egyptian ceramic vase. Egyptian terracotta vase, probably Middle Kingdom, 2040–1782 BC. Globular-bodied vase, rounded base, wide straight neck, lip with a bead rim. Made with the coil technique, coils wrapped around themselves and then smoothed on the exterior. Egyptian art, most likely Middle Kingdom, 2040–1782 BC. Excellent state of conservation – small chips to the lip. Presented on an elegant tripod base. Height 15.2 cm (24.2 cm with base) – Diameter 14.6 cm Provenance: France, M.A.Y. Gallery. Previous provenance: former French collection assembled in the 1970s/1980s. The seller can prove that the lot was legally obtained; provenance statement seen by Catawiki.
