EGYPTIAN AMULET IN BLUE-TONED FAIENCE A finely detailed amulet depicting the god Bes playing the tambourine. Bes is shown in right profile, legs slightly bent and hands raised to hold the tambourine. A suspension loop is located above his head. The piece displays various shades of blue and turquoise glaze, with intricate details, a flat underside, and a suspension loop at the top. New Kingdom, from the 28th to the 20th Dynasty, 1550–1069 BC. dimensions: 19 mm x 10 mm Remounted Expertised by Simone Musso, consulting curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri archaeological expedition.
