Important Chinese bronze tripod fragrance burner with brown patina, Ming Dynasty, 16th/17th century. Hexagonal tripod bronze fragrance burner with brown patina, the ovoid body narrowing toward a straight neck adorned with a leiwen motif inspired by bronzes of the Shang and Zhou dynasties (circa 1700–256 BCE), framed by two handles rising in a vertical curve, the three feet with broad claws cast by figures of chimera, fierce traditional guardians of Chinese cults. Height: 17.1 cm – Width: 13.4 cm. - Excellent condition, no restoration Provenance: France, Galerie P.R.N.
