Vienna, late 19th Century, of compressed spherical form, the crimson ground heightened with gilt palmettes and enamelled with two reserves, the first circular within a chased silver bezel and painted with a girl seated in a landscape, the second with two figures seated upon a bank, the hinged cover enamelled within in cream and struck with the maker's mark SG, the interior with a pierced gilt grille of interlaced strapwork, with a suspension ring. 2.2cm diameter
