All auctions / Ethnographic / ALPINO, AESTHETIC MILKY QUARTZ BITERMINATED AND CROSSED
From our selection of collectible minerals we present a splendid Quartz crystal from Arbaz, Challand-Saint-Anselme, Valle d'Aosta. Also characterized by the bipartite and crossed growth of two crystals with a dolphin-like habit, hyaline transparency and the sharpness of the prismatic faces, elements that increase its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The sample stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with characteristics that enhance its natural structure and visual impact. Alpine quartz forms inside the so-called Alpine fissures, cavities filled with hydrothermal fluids during the uplifting of the Alpine chain, which allow slow growth and the formation of crystals that are particularly clear and well developed. The "dolphin-like" habit, with trapezohedral faces more developed than the typical prismatic habit, takes its name from the French Dauphiné region where it was first described. The intergrown growth of two crystal individuals, as in this specimen, is a relatively rare twinning phenomenon that increases the piece’s collecting appeal. This is an ideal specimen for mineralogical collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, even in the field of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always noted in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight variations in shade may occur depending on the device or ambient light. Shipping is carried out via reliable and selected express couriers, with fast delivery (in many cases 1-2 working days in Europe), tracked and insured shipping and professional, safe packaging, as confirmed by customer reviews.
