Alexandre Petrus (1988) - SPIDERMAN

ABOUT THE ARTWORK “Spiderman” captures the energy, agility, and intensity of one of pop culture’s most iconic superheroes. The figure is shown in a dynamic upside-down pose, suspended in motion and instantly recognizable through its striking silhouette. This bold composition creates an immediate sense of movement, tension, and action, as if the character is descending directly into the viewer’s space. The result is a visually powerful piece that feels alive and cinematic. The blue background, energized by red abstract textures, reinforces the urban and vibrant spirit of the subject. The contrast between the hand-cut stencil and the expressive painted background gives the artwork a raw street art feel while preserving a strong graphic impact. A powerful and eye-catching artwork for collectors drawn to superheroes, urban art, and pop culture icons. “Spiderman” is a piece about movement, courage, and presence. ABOUT THE ARTIST Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist with a strong and instantly recognizable visual identity. His signature technique — the hand-cut double-layer stencil — separates light and shadow into two distinct stencils, layered onto a spontaneous, hand-painted abstract background. The result is a striking visual language where each subject emerges with strength, clarity, and presence. His work moves between mythology, pop culture, wildlife, and symbolic scenes inspired by childhood, freedom, and human emotion. Whatever the theme, the approach remains the same: precision in the stencil, freedom in the background, and a constant search for contrast, impact, and emotion. Each artwork is a unique original. No prints, no identical editions: every background is painted individually by hand, making each piece distinct. The small smiling “AP” monogram visible on the artwork is the artist’s signature — Alexandre Petrus’s initials merged into a face — sprayed onto every original piece.
