All auctions / Contemporary Art / Alexandre Petrus (1988) - SANGOKU ULTRA INSTINCT
ABOUT THE ARTWORK “Goku Ultra Instinct” is a powerful tribute to one of the most iconic figures in manga and anime culture. The artwork captures the intensity, control, and overwhelming presence of the character in his Ultra Instinct form. With his sharp gaze, explosive hair, and highly muscular silhouette, the composition conveys both absolute focus and raw power. The hand-cut stencil technique reinforces the graphic strength of the subject, reducing the image to its essential contrasts while preserving the energy and impact of the character. The soft purple and light blue background creates an interesting contrast with the strength of the figure. It gives the piece a more atmospheric and almost electric aura, while allowing the black, white, and light tones of the stencil to stand out clearly. This balance between calm background tones and the subject’s intense presence creates a visually striking result. A strong and eye-catching artwork for collectors drawn to anime, pop culture, and dynamic contemporary imagery. “Goku Ultra Instinct” is a piece about power, transformation, discipline, and inner mastery. ABOUT THE ARTIST Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist with a strong and instantly recognizable visual identity. His signature technique — the hand-cut double-layer stencil — separates light and shadow into two distinct stencils, layered onto a spontaneous, hand-painted abstract background. The result is a striking visual language where each subject emerges with strength, clarity, and presence. His work moves between mythology, pop culture, wildlife, and symbolic scenes inspired by childhood, freedom, and human emotion. Whatever the theme, the approach remains the same: precision in the stencil, freedom in the background, and a constant search for contrast, impact, and emotion. Each artwork is a unique original. No prints, no identical editions: every background is painted individually by hand, making each piece distinct. The small smiling “AP” monogram visible on the artwork is the artist’s signature — Alexandre Petrus’s initials merged into a face — sprayed onto every original piece. SHIPPING The artwork is carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and protective plastic film, then secured in a custom-sized cardboard box for safe international transit. A signed certificate of authenticity is included inside the package. Shipping via Colissimo or Chronopost, tracked and insured. Dispatch within 3 working days after payment confirmation.
