Akai - GX-32 Rare Audio-cassette deck

Akai GX-32 2-head stereo cassette deck in black finish, produced in Japan by Akai Electric Co. (circa 1988–1990). Technically in 100% fully functional condition (playback, recording, rewinding and tape-loop functions work properly); visually in neat vintage condition with light signs of use consistent with age. For analog enthusiasts and collectors of cassette technology, the GX series from Akai is a well-established name thanks to the Super GX heads (Glass & X’tal Ferrite). This unique crystal ferrite head with a mirror-smooth glass coating is nearly wear-free, attracts significantly less tape dust than conventional permalloy heads, and ensures a constant, lossless high-frequency response over tens of thousands of playing hours. In terms of sound, the GX-32 delivers an open, dynamic and exceptionally low-noise playback. The deck features a two-motor transport with microprocessor-controlled logic and manual Bias Fine Tuning to precisely align the pre-magnetization with the specific cassette type (Type I Normal, Type II CrO2 or Type IV Metal). Additionally, the device is equipped with Dolby B and C noise reduction, an optional MPX-filter for interference-free FM recordings, and a bright FL display with a digital counter and peak meters.
