The entire necklace has been hand-knotted with a knot between every bead; the clasp is 925 silver plated with gold. This exclusive necklace, being very long, can be worn in many different ways, all very flattering depending on the occasion. The relationship between agate and Christianity is twofold: on one hand, it is mentioned as a precious stone in the Bible, and on the other, it is associated with the figure of Saint Agatha (Symbol of Fortitude). Material: green, pink, blue, purple, brown agate from Brazil - HIGH QUALITY Gem origin: Brazil Agate shapes: Flat ovoids - VERY SPECIAL Bead size: approximately 25–27 mm Necklace length: 126 cm - VERY LONG Necklace professionally hand-knotted with knots on every bead High-quality thread, silk and cotton blend Gift box and protective pouches Photos are part of the description The display bust has a diameter of 22 cm (not for auction) Saint Agatha of Catania Martyr and Patroness: Agatha (from Greek agathé, meaning 'kind') was a young virgin and martyr of the 3rd century in Sicily, who suffered persecution for her Christian faith under Emperor Decius. Symbolism of Fortitude: Her story is an example of unwavering faith and courage in the face of torture. She is the patron saint of Catania, and her intercession is invoked against volcanic eruptions (such as Mount Etna). She is also the patroness of nurses and of people suffering from breast cancer, due to the torments she endured.
