Ca. late 19th - early 20th century AD. > A group comprising a carved wooden dish of shallow, rounded form with slightly everted rim, together with an Oceanic coconut rasp consisting of a carved wooden seat fitted with a serrated metal blade. The dish displays a smooth, well-worn surface from use, while the rasp retains its characteristic upright blade mounted to a plank support. The pairing reflects utilitarian craftsmanship from two distinct cultural traditions, each shaped by local materials and culinary practices. > > Size: 380-500mm x 225-290mm; Weight: 1.77kg > Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex.
