All auctions / Ethnographic / Aesthetic geode of white gemmy calcite
From our selection of collectible minerals we offer an aesthetic Calcite geode from Boulemane, Morocco. Moreover, it features a cavity entirely lined with white, gemmy and transparent Calcite crystals, arranged in splendid aggregates on a beige sedimentary rock matrix, with a marked color contrast between the outer crust and the crystalline heart, which enhances its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that enhance its natural structure and visual impact. Calcite is a calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) that crystallizes in the trigonal system and is known for its very high birefringence and for the enormous variety of crystal habits it can take, more than any other mineral known. Boulemane geodes, in Morocco, form inside nodules and cavities of calcareous sedimentary rocks, where aqueous solutions rich in calcium carbonate slowly deposited crystals along the inner walls over long geological periods. The transparency and pure white color of these specimens derive from the absence of metallic impurities in the mother solution during crystal growth. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the context of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always indicated in the description. Photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight variations in shade may occur depending on the device or ambient light. Shipping is carried out via reliable and selected express couriers, with fast delivery (in many cases 1-2 working days in Europe), tracked and insured shipping and professional and secure packaging, as confirmed by customer reviews.
