A Very Fine Pair of 19th-Century Giltwood Tub Armchairs or Bergères

These luxurious chairs are deep, comfortable, and upholstered in top-quality country house fabric. They feature a refined shape, with elegantly curving arm supports and backs that add to their appeal. The overall silhouette, along with their relatively low height, recalls the famous Bridgewater series of designs by Howard & Sons. Additionally, the combination of simple back legs and finely carved front legs with floral detailing is characteristic of this esteemed firm’s craftsmanship.
