A small collection of trench art and militaria. Including a Victory bell, cast with metal from German aircraft, height 14cm, an Army Temperance Association India medal, aircraft ID chart, and trench art. This World War and militaria collection was formerly the property of Maurice and Peggy Moore of Camborne. Maurice and Peggy's families were neighbours in South Tehidy near the RAF memorial at Roscroggan. Peggy's family moved to Camborne in 1937. Maurice Sydney Moore (born 1910) was a regular RAF Airman and was last stationed at RAF Predannick towards the end of WW11. Peggy Moore (nee Scoble, born 1922) initially worked at the Evacuee hostel in Fore Street, Redruth, then later joined the WAAF and was stationed at RAF St Eval for the rest of WW11. She belonged to the RAF Benevolent Fund and purchased the Victory Bell (made from shot down enemy aircraft metal to support the RAF Benevolent Fund). The Aircraft ID chart was Peggy's property while she was a WAAF. They married in 1946 at St Martin & St Meriadoc, Camborne and lived in Camborne. The WW1 Trench Art were family pieces. The Indian Army Abstinence Medal belonged to Maurice's father, Walter
