AR Penck: Collectors and art enthusiasts who admire the work of A. R. Penck often develop an interest in a wide range of influential post-war and contemporary artists. Known for his distinctive visual language of symbolic figures, signs, and expressive brushwork, Penck became one of the leading figures of German Neo-Expressionism. His paintings, drawings, sculptures, and prints continue to inspire collectors around the world with their raw energy and universal symbolism. Artists most closely associated with A. R. Penck include Georg Baselitz, Anselm Kiefer, Markus Lüpertz, Jörg Immendorff, Gerhard Richter, Sigmar Polke, Joseph Beuys, Blinky Palermo, Günther Uecker, and Imi Knoebel.
