each in the neo-classical style, tapering cylindrical and on a spreading foot, with beaded borders the rim chased with a band of drapery swags, each side applied with an oval medallion, one engraved with initials and one with a horse racing scene, the foot of each engraved with an inscription for “Dexter” or “Stargazer” respectively, the pull-off covers similarly decorated and with a finial cast as a female figure holding laurel wreaths 44cm high, 142oz 3dwt, 4,421gr (2) The inscriptions read 'Stargazer Won 7 Plates in 1786' and 'Dexter Won 3 Sweepstakes & 3 Prizes in 1785 & 86'. The initials are probably those of the Rev, Henry Goodricke, brother of Sir Henry Goodricke, 6th Bt (1765-1802). Stargazer was owned by Sir George Armytage, 4th Baronet, 'Stargazer Won 7 Plates in 1786', 'Dexter Won 3 Sweepstakes & 3 Prizes in 1785 & 86', Sir George Armytage, 4th Baronet
