Knud Erik Færgemann was born in 1925. He exhibited at the spring exhibitions of Charlottenborg, the autumn and Easter exhibitions of artists in Grønningen, and at a large number of Danish and foreign exhibitions and museums in Scandinavia, West Germany, Great Britain, France, Yugoslavia and Romania. Knud Erik Færgemann sold works to the North Jutland Art Museum, other museums and collections in Jutland, cultural funds, provinces and municipalities. He created decorations for hospitals in Jutland. Knud Erik Færgemann designed a poster for the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) and a program about him was broadcast on Danish television. He also made lithographs in collaboration with I. Chr. Sørensen, Hjørring, and with Clot, Bramsen et Georges, Paris. This research was made possible in part by a grant from the Danish Crafts Association. The City Although I was born in the countryside, I love the city. I love my own city: an old trading town with commerce and industry and a bustling harbor. A city that has changed more than many other towns, but where I can still find the city of my youth, the streets of my youth. I love all cities: as places where people live, work and coexist. I am fascinated by the lights and sounds of cities, by their many colors and their many possibilities. The Christmas Spoon since 1910 -always a welcome gift Since 1910, Danish artists have designed Christmas cutlery for A. Michelsen. The Christmas Spoon and Fork are made of gilded sterling silver with an enamel motif. A coffee spoon and a cake fork are also available in the same beautiful design. The Christmas Spoon series is produced for only one year and in a limited edition. The cutlery was destroyed in March 1989.
