A Meissen porcelain box with Chinoiserie designs

A Meissen porcelain box with Chinoiserie designs Decorated with two multi-figure chinoiserie scenes on gold, purple and iron-red bracket-shaped cartouches, each separated by a spray of Oriental flowers. The original lid, with an artichoke finial, features three similar chinoiserie scenes on strips of landscape, above a broad gold lace border. Blue crossed swords mark, unidentified turner’s mark in the form of a star, gold 6 (lid and box). Height with cover 12, diameter 9 cm. C. 1735/40, decor by the workshop of Johann Gregorius Höroldt.
