A German hand-forged 21.6k yellow gold and ancient Egyptian greenish
A German hand-forged 21.6k yellow gold and ancient Egyptian greenish glazed steatite scarab and scaraboid sautoir necklace. Long, hand-forged necklace in an antique style, composed of interlinked ring-shaped links and moulded bar links, alternating with square double discs and 14 green-glazed ancient Egyptian scarabs or scaraboids, carved and polished from steatite. Hook-and-eye clasp with safety catch. The setting of one scarab signed and dated “Skoluda 2001” on the side. Length 153.0 cm. Total weight 161.20 g. Wolfgang Skoluda, Hamburg, 2001. The amulets New Kingdom Period, 1200 - 1000 BC.
