The tapering rectangular upright casket formed of a bloodstone body and hinged cover mounted with gold cagework chased with frolicking putti and courtly figures amongst C-scrolls, garlands, and foliage, the thumbpiece set with diamonds, sapphires, and rubies, the interior with spaces for four flattened rounded rectangular glass scent bottles in two sizes, with gold mounts and chained stoppers with porcelain bird finials, apparently unmarked
