A GEORGE II CARVED WALNUT ARMORIAL CARTOUCHE CIRCA 1740 33.5cm high, 39.5cm wide Provenance: Sotheby's, Important English Furniture, Ceramics and Silver from the Collection of Mr. & Mrs. Martin Gersh, 18th October 2006, Lot 26 ($17,640 incl. BP). So far it has not been possible to trace the families of the arms which are within the cartouche which are a chevron between three Catherine wheels impaling a chevron between in chief two trees eradicated and in base a crescent and on a chief three mullets.
