The Vinaigrette is finely modelled as a book with reeded spine and the cover and base are decorated with different bands of diagonal engine turning. The cover also displays a central rectangular cartouche engraved with a set of contemporary script initials. The cover opens up to reveal fine interior gilding and a grille pierced and engraved with pluming scrolls, around a bright cut frame. The Vinaigrette is in excellent condition and is very well marked in the base and on the underside of the cover and the grille. Length: 1.45 inches, 3.63 cm. Width: 0.95 inches, 2.38 cm.
