1 RARE medium 19th century carved JET example. Genuine Jet buttons are considered rare especially for the age of this example from the late 1800's. When Queen Victoria went in to mourning she wors black for 40 years, the common folk. Wanting to emulate her had to wear black glass buttons as they could not afford genuine Jet examples, only she and the aristocrat wealthy could at the time. Perhaps this rare example at one point belonged to Queen Victoria, you never know. However to suffice it to day these are very hard to find. Dimensions: SM=Less than 3/4", Medium=3/4" to 1 1/4". Large=1 1/4" and above, extra large=1 3/4" and above Date or Era: DIVISION 1=PRE 1918 AND DIVISION 3 IS AFTER 1918 Condition Request Condition Report PLEASE NOTE: These buttons for the most part are antique and may have age related wear. We make every effort to point out any significant condition related concerns, but again they are antique and not new.
