A BSA B31 or similar variant circa 1940/50s 158 BNK, 348cc OHC barn find condition *Notes- The BSA B31 was a British road-going motorcycle produced by the Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA) from 1945 to 1959. Introduced immediately after the Second World War, it became a legendary commuter staple praised for its rugged reliability, ease of maintenance, and exceptional fuel economy. The B31 served as the structural baseline for several other famous BSA models. In 1947, BSA bored out the engine to create the 499cc BSA B33 to accommodate heavy sidecar work. Additionally, the robust bottom-end layout of the B31 directly influenced the architecture of the legendary, high-performance BSA Gold Star racing singles. Production came to a halt in 1959 as BSA transitioned toward more modern unit-construction single models, such as the C15 250 and the B40 350. Today, the B31 remains highly sought after by classic vehicle collectors due to excellent British Bike Bits parts availability and its remarkably straightforward mechanics.
