6 Early XXth Century hand embroidered linen napkins with R.V

A Set of Six Damask Linen Napkins with Hand-Embroidered R.V. Initials An elegant and distinctive set of six damask linen napkins, distinguished by an unusual decorative border and beautifully hand-embroidered R.V. initials. The damask pattern is particularly interesting, with a complete garland of large leaves framing the border, interwoven with delicate branches of berries to create a rich and harmonious design. Each napkin bears the initials R.V., meticulously embroidered by hand in fine relief. The slight differences between the monograms are a lovely confirmation of their handmade character, giving each napkin its own individual identity. The initials stand out subtly against the damask background, with each letter incorporating a charming detail of small berry clusters and open flowers. At an impressive 85 cm in width, these are exceptionally generous napkins, combining decorative elegance with the scale and quality associated with fine traditional table linen. A lovely set for those who appreciate the artistry of antique French damask and the individuality of genuine hand embroidery.
