3pc Japanese Bisque Skull on Book Nodder Figurines

Each figurine features an articulated jaw attached with a metal spring mechanism and a hollowed opening at the top of the cranium. The skulls are decorated with hand-painted black shading in the eye sockets and nasal cavities, while the bases are finished with reddish-brown pigment along the book spines. The underside of the largest figurine bears a printed black mark containing characters in Japanese script above the registration number 500647 and the words MADE IN JAPAN; the smallest figurine is also marked MADE IN JAPAN.
