3-piece Cast Iron Kitchen & Living Set with Cow Motif – Bookstand, Bookend & Coaster – Taiwan (circa 1980s/1990s) Description: Atmospheric and functional 3-piece set of painted cast iron with a nostalgic rural theme. These characteristic objects combine a country look with everyday practicality in the kitchen, library, or living room. Why this lot is so lovely: The nice thing about this lot is that each item is not only decorative, but also highly practical: Cast Iron Stand: Ideal in the kitchen for an open cookbook, but also perfect as a holder for a tablet/iPad to watch a movie while cooking, or as a stand for a music sheet or print. Cow with Milker: A sturdy, detailed figure of a cow with a milker on a green base. Weighing nearly 2 kilograms, this piece is not only decorative but also excellent as a bookend in a bookshelf or as a paperweight on a desk. Oval Coaster: Equipped with feet and protective caps, perfect for safely placing hot pots or dishes on the table without scratching the tabletop. Origin: Made in Taiwan (with the original factory sticker on the back) circa the late 20th century.
