2pc Royal Doulton Historical Nursing China Figurines, Florence Nightingale

Two Royal Doulton polychrome glazed figurines depicting nursing history. The first, Florence Nightingale HN3144, depicts the subject in a green and pink Victorian gown leaning on a marble-effect plinth with an owl. The base features a printed lion and crown mark above the words Royal Doulton, Florence Nightingale, HN 3144, and indicates it is number 2998 from a limited edition of 5000 issued in 1988 in support of the Nightingale Museum and St. Thomas Hospital, crafted from bone china. The second figurine, titled Nurse HN4287 from the Classics series, portrays a 20th-century nurse in a blue dress, white apron, and red-lined cape. The base bears a printed Royal Doulton Classics mark, the model name and number, the modeler name Adrian Hughes, and a date of 2000, crafted from fine china.
