23.45 ct – Rare Herkimer Smoky Quartz – Double Terminated...

23.45 ct – Rare natural Herkimer Smoky Quartz crystal from Skardu, Pakistan, showing a well-developed double termination and an exceptional internal inclusion. The most interesting feature of this specimen is the presence of a visible two-phase internal cavity containing mobile bitumen, which can move inside the cavity when the crystal is tilted. This gives the specimen particular mineralogical and collector interest. The crystal shows a delicate natural smoky coloration, good transparency and preserved natural faces, allowing the internal features and inclusions to be clearly observed. A highly unusual collector specimen combining double termination, transparency and a mobile internal inclusion in a single natural crystal. Mineral: Natural Smoky Quartz Origin: Skardu, Pakistan Weight: 4.69 g / 23.45 ct Dimensions: 26 × 12 × 11 mm Crystal habit: Double terminated Color: Light smoky Transparency: Transparent Inclusion: Two-phase internal cavity with mobile bitumen Condition: Beautiful double termination with moving two-phase inclusions, there are some edge contacts or growth marks. Any visible imperfections are shown in the photos and are a natural part of the stone's authenticity. NOTE - Why is it called "Herkimer Diamond"? This crystal is commonly called "Herkimer Diamond" due to its natural shape, transparency, and brilliance, but it is not a diamond. It is a unique variety of double-terminated quartz, originally discovered in Herkimer County, New York. This name is now used more broadly to refer to crystals with these same unique qualities, regardless of their origin. Highly suitable for collectors, jewelry makers, metaphysical uses or resale. ***All photos were taken using lamp light, with professional photographic lenses, to enhance the colors and also the details and imperfections of the gem. Looking with the naked eye, possible streaks, inclusions and imperfections are much less visible or not visible at all.*** The live color may be of a slightly different shade because it changes based on each different screen in which it is viewed. ***AAA – See all my auction lots, if you win multiple lots, you only pay 1 shipping.
