2024 Domaine Bonnefond

Côte Rôtie - Colline de Couzou - 2024 This wine is a blend of several parcels located in the north and south of the appellation (Côte Brune and Côte Blonde), on schist, micaschist, iron oxide and granite terroirs. Vinified in stainless-steel vats for 3 weeks, with 30% of stalks, this wine is aged for 15-18 months in 400-liter barrels, 10% of which are new. Appearance: Deep purple color. Nose: Very rich nose with spices, particularly pepper, licorice, and violet. Palate: Very focused on black fruit, with fairly tight tannins that will soften with time. Very silky finish... Made from 100% Syrah grapes, this red wine has excellent aging potential and can be enjoyed until 2028.
