Marthe is the granddaughter of Pierre Boillot, a well-known figure in Meursault from the beginning of his winemaking career in the 1940s until his death in 2004. She settled in Meursault, trained at the viticultural school, and learned from her friends Pierre-Henri Rougeot and Jean-Yves Devevey.
