2023 Jean-Michel Gerin, La Loye - Condrieu - 3 Bottle (0.75L)

Discover Condrieu La Loye 2023 from Domaine Jean-Michel Gérin, a parcel-origin cuvée that showcases the finesse of Viognier on the granite soils of the Condrieu appellation in the Northern Rhône Valley. Originating from two plots located south of the town of Condrieu, this cuvée benefits from a granite arena terroir that adds tension, precision, and depth to the appellation’s emblematic grape variety. The Condrieu La Loye 2023 reveals a seductive and expressive nose, marked by ripe apricot, white peach, hints of citrus and delicate floral notes. On the palate, the wine offers a fine balance between a full, silky texture driven by Viognier and a bright freshness that preserves the overall elegance. Its finish is clean, persistent, and gastronomic, without heaviness. Aged for about a year, notably in several-vintage demi-muids, this Condrieu white gains texture and complexity while preserving its fruity and floral character. It is a wine of immediate pleasure, but also a mature white capable of aging gracefully in the cellar for several years. Serve at 10–13 °C, as an aperitif, with seafood, shellfish, a sauce-dressed fish, cream-topped poultry, or goat cheese. With its generous aromatic profile, its freshness and precision, Condrieu Jean-Michel Gérin La Loye 2023 makes a fine reference for lovers of great Rhône whites and a reliable addition to a cellar or an exceptional wine at table.
