Le Châteauneuf-du-Pape blanc 2025 – Clos des Papes embodies the rigor and precision of one of the appellation’s most emblematic estates. Located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the Southern Rhône Valley, the estate works plots on soils of rolled galets, clay and sand, which give the wine power, natural drainage, and Mediterranean expression. This vintage is crafted from an original blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne, Picpoul, Bourboulenc and Picardan, each grape representing 16% of the blend. This diversity gives the wine notable complexity: Grenache Blanc provides body, Clairette its freshness, Roussanne its floral finesse, while Picpoul, Bourboulenc and Picardan reinforce the tension and salinity. On opening, the nose reveals notes of candied citrus, fresh pear, quince and white flowers, enhanced by hints of anise and soft spices. On the palate, the wine charms with a balance between lushness and bright acidity, with a full, expansive texture, good persistence, and a slightly saline finish that invites another look at the glass. Aged in stainless steel and concrete tanks on its lees for six months, without malolactic fermentation, this Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc prioritizes fruit purity and terroir precision over oak. It is a dry, structured, gastronomic white, designed to accompany refined cuisine: line-caught fish, lobster, langoustines, chicken in cream sauce, mushroom risotto or goat cheeses aged. Served between 10 and 12 °C, it can be enjoyed after a few years in the cellar to develop its mineral character and complexity. Its aging potential is exceptional: ideally enjoyed between 2028 and 2048.
