2023 Château de Beaucastel - Châteauneuf-du-Pape...

Le Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2023 embodies the excellence of the great whites from the Rhône Valley. Produced by the Perrin Family on the legendary Château de Beaucastel estate, this wine benefits from a rare terroir, composed of marine molasses and rolled pebbles, which gives the wine depth, minerality, and elegance. The cuvée is made on a very restricted surface of seven hectares, which enhances its rarity and value among enthusiasts. Its blend is predominantly based on Roussanne, at 80%, complemented by White Grenache (15%) as well as Picardan, Clairette, and Bourboulenc. This complementary mix brings together aromatic richness, tension, freshness, and complexity. In the glass, this Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc presents a beautiful bright gold robe and is crystal clear. The nose opens to a floral and delicate bouquet, marked by notes of white flowers, juicy peach, and citrus, with deeper hints of honey, toasted almond, and candied orange as the wine evolves. On the palate, it combines roundness, silkiness, and liveliness, supported by a fine acidity and a long, slightly saline finish. This 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is a wine for gastronomy, perfect to accompany roasted or sauced fish, creamy poultry, a mushroom risotto, a lobster, or a characterful cheese. Its structure and finesse also give it real aging potential, allowing it to be enjoyed today for its freshness or left to evolve a few years in the cellar to develop more complex aromas.
