Directly neighboring the Grand Cru Chapelle-Chambertin, the Premier Cru “Petite Chapelle” is among the most remarkable terroirs of Gevrey-Chambertin. Planted in 1978, the parcel managed by the Marchand-Grillot family gives rise to a wine of great complexity. At tasting, the aromas of red fruits (raspberry, cherry, strawberry, redcurrant) express themselves with gourmand charm and pair with spicy notes of licorice and pepper. With time, more evolved nuances of leather and undergrowth will enrich the bouquet. On the palate, the tannins distinguish themselves by their finesse, carried by a silky and elegant texture.
