2021 Tony Bornard "Au Fil des Générations" - Wine of France - 2 Bottles (0.75L)

2021 Tony Bornard – “Au Fil des Générations” Rouge – Jura – 2 Bottles Lot of 2 bottles of Tony Bornard “Au Fil des Générations” Rouge 2021, a sought-after natural red wine from the Jura. Producer: Tony Bornard Cuvée: Au Fil des Générations Rouge Vintage: 2021 Region: Jura, France Appellation: Vin de France Grape: Ploussard / Poulsard Alcohol: 11.8% vol. (as stated on the bottles) Format: 2 × 75 cl Tony Bornard is based in Pupillin, one of the emblematic villages of the Jura. “Au Fil des Générations” is a particularly meaningful cuvée, conceived around the idea of family and the transmission of winemaking knowledge from one generation to the next. The 2021 vintage was marked by severe frost and extremely low yields. As explained on the back label, grapes from different parcels of the same variety were therefore blended to create a wine intended to express both the grape variety and the character of this challenging vintage. The red version is made from Ploussard (Poulsard), one of the Jura’s signature varieties. Specialist references describe whole-bunch fermentation followed by slow maceration, producing the delicate, pale-coloured and highly aromatic style characteristic of the variety. Expect an elegant and lively Jura red, with notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, sour cherry, peony and subtle spice, combined with fine tannins, bright acidity and a fresh, slightly saline finish. The bottles shown are in excellent condition, with very good fill levels, clean labels and intact wax closures. Please refer carefully to the photographs for the exact condition. Lot highlights: 2 × 75 cl bottles; Tony Bornard; 2021 vintage; Ploussard/Poulsard; Vin de France; Jura, France; natural/low-intervention style.
