2021 Primitivo di Manduria Riserva Pietrapura - Puglia DOC - 8 Bottle (0.75L)

Description This Primitivo di Manduria Riserva Cotis di PietraPura is produced with carefully selected grapes from old vineyards located in the heart of Salento, in Puglia. The name "Cotis" recalls the rocky origins of these soils, which give the wine character and personality. It stems from a centuries-old winemaking tradition, an authentic expression of the territory and its wealth. The grapes, harvested at the perfect degree of ripeness, undergo controlled-temperature maceration in steel tanks. The wine then matures for at least 12 months in French oak barrels, a step that refines its structure and enhances its aromatic complexity. This process grants the wine depth and a perfect balance between fruit and wood. In appearance it presents an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. The bouquet is wide and complex, with enveloping notes of ripe cherries and plums, enriched by elegant hints of cacao and vanilla. On the palate it offers a robust structure, characterized by warmth and persistence, with a long and enveloping finish that reveals delicate balsamic nuances. Perfect to accompany rich and elaborate dishes, it pairs magnificently with roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses.
