Anniversario 62 Riserva celebrates precisely the year of the winery’s foundation and is produced exclusively with grapes from vines over sixty years old, an authentic heritage of Apulian viticulture. San Marzano Anniversario 62 Riserva 2020 Primitivo di Manduria DOP comes from a careful selection of hand-picked grapes in light oversripeness. After fermentation, the wine matures for about 18 months in French and American oak barriques, developing a rich and complex aromatic profile. In the glass it presents an intense ruby red color. On the nose it offers elegant notes of plum, sour cherry, red fruit jam, tobacco, cocoa, vanilla and sweet spices. On the palate it is full, velvety and enveloping, with soft tannins, perfect balance and a long, persistent finish. Ideal pairings are with braised dishes, game, grilled red meats, roasts, rich first courses and aged cheeses.
