Along the road between Castiglione Falletto and Monforte d’Alba you get a wonderful view of the Bricco Rovella hill, where the current owner Marco Parusso and his sister Tiziana produce their classic Barolos. The estate is a mix of small vineyards, acquired over four generations. Thus arose a patchwork of unique biotopes where both nebbiolo, barbera and dolcetto can mature perfectly. Today the family owns 28 hectares of vineyards, much of it in several highly sought-after 'cru' zones such as Bussia, Mariondino and Le Coste-Mosconi. In 2019 the daughter of Tiziana, Giulia, also joined the company. The future is thus guaranteed. Marco Parusso is a true artist, producing wines of unparalleled quality, finesse and elegance. He walks his own path and does not weigh in on the 'traditional vs modern' debate. Marco sees his wines as children, with the tannin of the nebbiolo grape especially needing to be raised with a firm hand. His famous Barolos are therefore very recognizable by the smooth structure of the tannins and their accessibility at a young age. Marco and Tiziana do everything to maximize the terroir expression of the different vineyards in their wines. The Barolo Bussia has a ruby-red color. Complex bouquet of roses, berries and cedarwood. On the palate a lot of ripe fruit with beautiful, noble tannins that nicely support the whole. Refined finish. Aging potential until 2041 Production of 9,000 bottles Classic temperature-controlled vinification with a long maceration time. Aging for 24 months in barriques and 12 in the bottle. A fantastic winery and a beautiful wine!
