The winery is located in the celebrated Conca d’Oro of Panzano in Chianti, an exceptional natural amphitheatre in the heart of Chianti Classico. Produced exclusively from 100% Sangiovese, selected from some of Fontodi’s finest organically farmed vineyards, Flaccianello has established itself as one of Italy’s most prestigious pure Sangiovese wines. According to the original back label, the 2020 was matured for 24 months in French oak barrels, followed by further refinement in bottle. The wine combines the power and ripeness of the vintage with the freshness, structure and elegance characteristic of high-quality Sangiovese from Panzano. The 2020 offers a complex aromatic profile of black cherry, blackberry, plum, violet, wild rose, spice and mineral notes. The palate is concentrated yet balanced, with refined tannins, excellent freshness and a persistent, elegant finish.
